So that's great because, you know, for agents listening who are new to this concept, can you break down the basic philosophy of what an adopting agent and a retiring agent relationship actually looks like?
6:33
Yeah, so the spoiler alert here is the golden handoff is essentially a referral agreement.
6:40
But the difference between how we normally do referrals, and a handoff referral is Helen, if you had someone moving to Portland, Oregon, that was going to buy a house there, and you refer them to me, I would help them buy a home, I get a new client, you get a referral fee.
6:57
And everyone wins client gets to work with a good agent that they can trust.
7:01
They don't have to go interview people in a new city where they don't know anyone.
7:05
But the difference with a golden handoff is, let's say in the future, when you're ready to retire, you've got your client list of a couple hundred or a couple thousand people that know you and trust you.
7:17
And you're going to eventually not be there to help them personally.

So the first year you do this, the second year you do that, the second referral maybe is different because if the first referral is 30%, the second is 20, that, you know, how do you do that?
14:05
What are you most focused on solving or scaling next? Is it another book or what's your process now?
14:13
Yeah, that's a great question.
14:15
I have become really interested in how connection and communication is changing.
14:21
both with technology and also just generationally, the way that people have done business in the past and the way people are doing it now.
14:30
There's a lot of it that's the same, but a lot of it is changing.
14:32
Expectations are changing.
14:34
And certainly generationally, I think younger generations tend to be more transactional.
18:14
And is that like a framework that you're looking to create on that as well?
