Neuralink

Um, I'm very biased when it comes to SpaceX in two different ways.

One, I think Elon Musk is the Leonardo da Vinci of our generation, right? We haven't seen a guy who's good in so many different fields that can change the world, right? Neuralink I think is incredible when you can make blind people see.

You've got SpaceX.

You've got obviously Tesla in EVs.

It's like it's, it's, it's bigger than the sum of all of its parts, right? And, um, so I think AI is, is going to really shine when they put it into these bodies, which they're already starting to do.

These bodies, um, the main reason they're creating Neuralink is not to help, you know, paraplegics walk and blind people see.

It's to understand how our nervous system works.

And once they have a synthetic, you know, nervous system that they can install into these synthetic bodies and they have AI, which is at the point of AGI or ASI, um, and then they figure out that they need to have like this electromagnetic beating mechanism, like a heart that creates this, um, this, um, what do you wanna call it? Like at the Monroe Institute, we call it phase locking.

So it has to have its own unique fingerprint, its own unique electromagnetic signal.

Um, and that comes from the, the pulse, from the, the beating heart.

And once they figure that out and they have this, this Neuralink powered, you know, nervous system, they have these bodies, and they have this, you know, artificial super intelligent mind, and then on top of that, they have this unique fingerprint, um, then a consciousness can, you know, phase lock into that body.

Um, I don't see any reason why that couldn't happen.

People actually want permission to make bigger decisions, and I now think, partly because, as you said, Ben, of the way the technology is evolving, that it's actually even more important that we, uh, put this stuff in its proper place, which is largely not in the center of our homes and our, the formative spaces of our lives.

I wanna make a joke about the Neuralink cords running out of your temples right now-

Blindsight is showing up in neuroscience labs.

I am one vagina away from Elon Musk because the co-founder of Neuralink really loved my stuff until I admitted to her that In fact, the 21-second God was my take on all the things that were going to go wrong with Neuralink if it behaved exactly as advertised.

I had changed the name from Neuralink.

It was originally called Neuralink in the story.

I changed the name to Meta because I didn't want to get sued by Neuralink, and Zuckerberg had not changed the name of Facebook.

So, yeah, there are, you know, the head of an AI... fairly well-known AI creation wants to collaborate with me on things.

He wants to build a hive mind.

And now he's known for SpaceX.

But he has another company called Neuralink.

And it's it's a incredibly fascinating company.

And Neuralink is all about like your neural network, your brain and how that interacts with different different parts of your body, like your eyesight.

Right.

And so they're doing things now like restoring eyesight, people that haven't had eyesight for a long time because you're doing these reconnections.

So, okay, let's go back to that third hemisphere.

We have two hemispheres.

And this...

And then again, this was before Elon Musk was talking about Neuralink.

You know, it was [laughs] quite a while ago.

And, but it just seemed like a very efficient way, and then, you know, he could talk to other people who did the same sort of jobs.

when in our current day and age, you get techno billionaires trying to talk about Neuralink and why you should probably put it in the back of your head by m-

... because we want to, to track you everywhere.
