Tell me, what was your family like? What were some of the traditions that shaped you?

Yeah.

So as I was mentioning, I came from a very strict religious family.

So I know that like even the music influence came from there because even though I wasn't really allowed to like, you know, sing and dance like the way I wanted to.

I was exposed to music through, excuse me, through religious music, like playing the harmonium at the different religious ceremonies and the sitar, learning a little bit of the sitar.

Singing came from that as well.

The, you know, the Indian hymns in the Sikh temple or stuff like that.

Does the song have a different meaning now than it did then for you?
