But can you really put a price on seats good enough to make post-touchdown eye contact with your favorite player? You pointed them, they pointed you.

Or at least in the general vicinity of your seats.

They yell,

let's go! You yell, let's go! Everyone around you yells, let's go!

But none of you actually go anywhere.

You just stay right there, basking in the glow of your maybe-kinda-probably brush with sports superstardom.

And what is it about this team that allowed you to fit in right away and contribute?

The guys are just so great.

The clubhouse is great, top to bottom.

I think that the group is just super easy to go along with.

And then there's great players up and down the roster.

So it's really easy to jump in with these guys.

And we're going to celebrate hard.

But what's it like in that dugout when you're down early?

And what is it about this team that allowed you to fit in right away and contribute?

The guys are just so great.

The clubhouse is great, top to bottom.

I think that the group is just super easy to go along with.

And then there's great players up and down the roster.

So it's really easy to jump in with these guys, and we're going to celebrate hard.

You look at the night tonight, and kind of typical lately, you fall behind early.

How do you know and what feeling do you get when you think it's a team that can do some damage in the postseason?

I think there's just a lot of blind optimism about the group.

I don't know if there's one person here that shows up and is like, oh, well, we have no chance today.

I think that everybody is like, all right, today's the day we're going to bust out of it.

Today's the day we're going to get a little bit of momentum.

Then all of a sudden, one win turns into a series win, series win turns into two or three, and then we climb up the standings right where we need to be.

Yeah.

You're new to the team, but how familiar are you with what's going on standings-wise and why this series could be a lot of fun?

How come?

Yeah, it makes me happy.

You know, like, I, I, I know how hard it is, uh, to even play average, so when you play below average, it, it drive you crazy.

And then if you have a, a stretch where you kill it, you feel like you should be able to kill it all the time.

So for a guy like that, whose, I guess his offensive game has kinda been, uh, uh, taking a backseat to what he does behind the plate, like, now seeing him, like, make strides offensively this late in his career, super cool.

Um, how do you know and what feeling do you get when you think it's a team that can do some damage in the postseason?

Uh, I think, like, there's just a lot of, a lot of blind optimism about the group.

Like, I, I don't know if there's one person here, like, that shows up and is like, "Oh, well, you know, we have no chance today," right? I think that everybody is like, "All right.

They would say, is that Barney Fife going

out? And like he, you know, he'll somehow sneak through with another zero.

You know, that's Jimmy.

But yeah, Jimmy was my golf partner.

but these Reds guys are everywhere and it feels like we have so many Atlanta Georgia guys like Southeast guys and so many Texas guys like we when we went home went home for that Texas Rangers series and we get a bunch of guys to come early on the plane like we have eight guys on there that are all going to sleep in their own bed like so these guys are my neighbors in the winter Yeah.

You know, and then obviously from playing against each other, chatting and chatting them up on the field, played against, you know, in Seattle for the last couple of years.

And then, you know, it just feels like at some in some capacity, I've been around all these guys like a bunch.

Can you tell that story, please? Oh, yeah.
