It's a bit crowded, a bit chaotic, and this year perhaps a bit louder.

Students are talking more during lunch.

They're not on their phones, just not paying attention to others.

They're talking to people.

They're engaging in conversation more.

With students no longer able to hide away on their phones, assistant principal Nathaniel Harvey says the school is embracing those face-to-face interactions.

Practicing some of those in-person skills, having conversations, it's meant we've had to do more coaching with, here's how we talk to people, here's how we respond to negativity, here's how we work with others.
