Man, with bass specifically, I was 14 years old, and my friend Ryan down the street had a guitar and a bass.

And he played guitar, and so I was like, cool, I'll play bass.

And we just started playing.

We would just hang out at his house, and I would pick up his instrument, and we would just play bass.

He knew a bunch of tunes, like a bunch of System of a Down stuff.

And that was a lot of what we played at that time was System of a Down.
