Yeah, about right.

I know there's a handful of players, uh, that are being talked to by UK clubs, and, and, and not just Silver Ferns as well.

Um, you know, think about some of the top ANZ Premiership shooters.

Um, they're being targeted as well, uh, by these UK clubs.

But there are only so many contracts, right? So each UK club can only take on two imports, and those imports cannot play in the same area of the court.

So while we're hearing a lot about different players getting talked to, uh, it's, it's fair to say that not everyone is gonna be able to get a contract.

So is there any chance that this plan that's been talked about involving Ally Williams and Anna Mowbray to privatize the game is gonna be up and running by next year?

Nathan, what do you think? Is this like a, um, a redemption story of sorts for Luke Metcalf?

Yeah, it could be.

It could be.

It depends how tonight goes.

It won't be much of a redemption story i- if he doesn't play very well.

Um, but look, he's had to bide his time, and he had two very underwhelming performances at 58 earlier in the year.

The Warriors lost both of those games, and he was clearly low on confidence.

How many netballers do you think are emailing English clubs right now trying to land jobs?

Integral, is this the game this weekend, if the Warriors can win, they can actually put a stake in the sand and go, "We're actually going to be here come, come the end of this competition"? It's that big, isn't it?

If you wanted a week to give an indication of whether the Warriors can win a premiership this year, this week is the week.

If they beat Penrith, there should be no doubt that the expectation here is that this is championship or bust for the Warriors.

If they have a heavy loss, then the Warriors look like pretenders.

And we, uh, when we get to the finals and we get to that high stakes, those high-stakes moments, we need to know that this team can perform in those moments, and this is a week, this is, this is dress rehearsal.

This is your prelim final dress rehearsal.

This is your grand final dress rehearsal.

But the way he's being managed, how does that sit with you?

Are you sensing a greater depth in this side? A, a, a more effective next-man-up kind of philosophy within the Warriors?

Well, they always talk about that one next-man-up, uh, philosophy, uh, for, uh, Piney.

But I think in, in the last few years the story's been that the Warriors look really good, and when they're at full fitness can beat anyone and could challenge for a premiership.

And then we get to about this time in the year, and the halfback [laughs] suffers a major injury.

They have a few people go down, and then they start to come off on the wrong side of close results, and they'd lost three out of four of their last games, all by two points.

And I was starting to think, "Oh no, here we go again.

It may be this is the slide." But I think those younger players that we're talking about, uh, the likes of, of Jacob Laven, Dimitri Vaimalonga, they've had a couple of years now in this team and they are really starting to stand up.

Exciting.

Yeah, it was a good running game of rugby.

As far as, you know, starts go, I don't think you can get much worse than conceding a try in the first couple of minutes and having your number 10 in the sim bin.

But yeah, the All Blacks turned things around from there.

They settled in, looked like they were trying a few things offensively, a little bit clunky at times, but certainly good building blocks for this new group, new era, and looks like a new way of playing, which is great to see.

Apparently it was great racing.

Yeah, yeah, first few laps were really entertaining.

Liam got a couple of places on the first lap, and that pretty much set him up for a good finish.

It's all over.

This is only the beginning of what they have to do in order to turn things around with the sport as a whole.

Because, yes, there has been a lot of change in leadership.

Jenny Wiley stepped down.

Now the board chair has stepped down, a few board members as well.

But there is a lot of reparation to go on, I suppose, at an elite level.

We still need to know that Dame Noelene Toto has sort of solved things with the playing group, but she still has not had any time with them and at this stage won't until three weeks out from the Commonwealth Games.

So is that maybe the solution?
