Do you think that is a healthy number? Should we strive for higher or lower, or is that a good place to be?

So I don't know is the right answer, and I think that there's a lot of talk about how many C-sections are being done.
13:02
A lot of people say it's too many.
13:04
The problem is that may or may not be true.

The problem is no one knows what the right number is.

I mean, if you look at places around the world that have very, very low C-section rates, they have actually high infant morbidity and mortality, meaning there is some number of C-sections you should be doing in order to maximize health for the newborns, right? That's at the expense of doing C-section on the mother, obviously, which is the trade-off.

But what is the upper limit of normal? Like, what should it be? We don't know.
