What did it mean to you to get that call from James Gunn to play Guy Gardner

in the DCU? That was wonderful.

It was at the rap party, not the rap party, the premiere party after Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

We were a big throng of people.

Everybody was surrounding James Gunn, congratulating him on a wonderful film.

And he took me by the shoulders and brought me in.

He said, did Peter tell you what we're going to do? I said, no.

Can we talk about it for a second?

Yeah

... uh, said that, "You guys, th- this is a podcast.

That's exactly what a podcast is.

People will tune in to listen to this." And I didn't believe her.

I didn't believe her.

Uh, but I finally acquiesced, and we, we, we started the podcast.

And, uh, it's a lot of fun letting people get to know Alan a little better because I don't...

Mm-hmm.

So Nate, what can you share about what we'll see from you as Guy Gardner in the upcoming Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow? And have you ever auditioned for any other major superhero roles in your career?

Uh, have I ever auditioned for any other major superhero? I don't think I have.

This is the only one I've, uh, aud- I, I h- I didn't even audition for this one.

Oh, my God.

I'm a huge soap fan, yes.

I complained about how long that, that close-up was.

I'm like, "What am I supposed to do?" He said, "You need to make three faces, and they are did I leave the stove on? I did leave the stove on.

No, I turned the stove off."

Plus all the weed.

And [laughs] they took us to a lovely restaurant, and we're wa- to, to, to celebrate, and it's a nice little celebratory dinner.

And in the vestibule by the hostess stand, this giant man comes walking out, and I stopped him and I said, "Uh, you don't know me, but not for nothing, I just got my own spaceship." And he said, "Mazel tov." And that man was Jonathan Frakes.
