Um, so for someone listening who, you know, loves beer, um, never done a beer course, but might be interested, you know, what actually could they get from doing something like a WSET beer qualification?
10:51
Yeah.
10:51
I think the big thing is two of the things we've already talked about, this idea of structure and then this idea of understanding, so making those links.
10:59
When I first came to studying beer and going through the various certifications that I have, uh, the first one that I went to was Cicerone, so the Certified Beer Server exam, and then, uh, the Certified Cicerone and later Advanced Cicerone exam.
11:11
And with those exams, if you are a good self-studier, then they're, you know, something that you can take on.
11:19
Cicerone gives you a list of books, uh, and you kind of look at all these different books and pick out what you need to see what's gonna be relevant to the syllabus.
11:27
But for some people, self-study is just not what works for them, you know? And actually, I did recognize that and when, um, during lockdown, during COVID, I ran my own online beer school called Virtual Beer School, and I built a course to prepare people for their Cicerone certifications.
