What does a futurist mean, Natalie?
3:42
So a futurist is somebody who, there are actually different types of futurists.
3:49
There are imaginative futurists.
3:51
There are data-focused futurists.
3:54
So it's a pretty big field, but it focuses on the future and what's coming.
4:02
It can sometimes be rooted in making predictions, but not always.
4:07
But it's really the study of the future.

Don't do
10:42
What's the first step?
10:45
There's been a lot of conversation recently that prompting is dead.
10:50
We don't need to prompt anymore because you can just hit the voice dictation and you can just speak and tell AI what you want and what you need.
11:01
And I still see so many people who don't know how to ask for what they want it's systems thinking that you have to know exactly what you want and start there so before you hit dictate and you just start blabbing about all of these things all of these ideas which is fine to do but i recommend that people have clarity around the end result that they are looking for and from there you can reverse engineer that so that you can communicate exactly what you want that output to be and what the format is how you write like your brand voice if it needs to be in a particular tone and style you need to provide context so I have a three C's prompt framework that's clarity, context, and cues.
12:00
The clarity piece is like, be clear about the role that you want AI to play and the goal that you're trying to get to.
12:07
Then the context is like, where is this fitting into the bigger picture? Because.
12:14
I see too many people who are like, Hey, help me create a marketing plan for my business.

30 MINS LATER

41:56
What's the message to them of how they're already integrating these tools, whether they know it or not?
11:00
And could you share with us? Because I know that there's some misinformation, but I just would love to hear some misunderstandings that you'd love to clarify for people that want to adopt it, but are kind of hesitant or reluctant for some reason.
11:13
I love talking to people who are values driven and ethical and who have resistance to using AI.
11:23
So the arguments that I hear against, one of the biggest ones is the environmental impact.
11:31
And the latest research from the International Energy Agency, the IEA, They show that AI use is only 1.5% of global emissions versus an industry like fashion, which is 8%.
11:48
Or, you know, big agra or oil, for example, like those industries are way, way, way beyond AI.
11:55
But all the pressure and all of the attention is on AI at the moment.
12:01
But it's not the biggest culprit.
