And I guess my question is off the back of that is how did that shape your career? I guess your confidence and your ambition in the way that it was before and how did that impact you, not only as a leader, but as a human being?

Yeah.

So this wasn't in my current school.

This is in a previous school following my first headship.

And I had Ofsted, I had the Ofsted inspector come.

And when they arrived, I introduced myself as the head of school and they literally looked me up and down in disgust and just thought, really, are you the headteacher? That led to a number of occurrences throughout that process that ultimately left me feeling deflated.

I felt mistreated.

How do you personally balance that? And what do you think needs to be done within the system so that more mothers stay on in those leadership positions once they have children?
