And when you say psychosocial factors or psychosocial processes, can you unpack that for us? What does that actually mean?
7:04
Yeah, so I'd come across literature and also... academic departments, which were kind of on psychosocial studies.
7:16
And some of the kind of the key points which I took from that was how what's going on psychologically within a person in terms of their own, how their own mind and body and thoughts and responses that you can't separate that from the context that they're in because we're always in a context and so to only look psychologically or only look at in terms of the individual you're missing a big part of actually what's going on and equally if you only look at kind of social factors and sociological approaches then you're missing the psychological and so the psychosocial approach basically comes from the view that these are inextricably linked.

I got really interested in what was called in literature, then the values action gap.
8:18
So you've got all these people who say that they have strong values around, you know, climate and nature.
8:24
And yet, you know, you're not seeing behaviours that's consistent with that.
8:29
So what's going on? What's influencing that? So that's the territory I got really interested in.
