10:15
And just talk about being at Lincoln East.
10:18
Yeah, I mean, I think, you know, God kind of works in pretty amazing ways.
10:25
You know, I got...
10:27
I got hired at Creighton Prep to be an assistant, and I'll be honest, I didn't have a great knowledge of really much.
10:35
You know, I learned so much there in terms of not only teaching, you know, hitters and infielders and pitchers and catchers, but also managing practice and managing kids and building confidence.
10:48
Pat Mooney there and some of the assistants there did very well with just really took me under their wing and just embraced me and were patient with me.
10:58
Um, you know, and, and when I was fortunate enough to get a chance to be a head coach at Lincoln East, I, I walked into a building full of just servant leaders.
14:40
And then lastly, Coach, for you, what is it about baseball and specifically what is it about coaching? What keeps you coming back every day?
59:42
[laughs]
59:43
That, that, that was a tough one, but congratulations to those guys.
59:46
They, they earned it and they deserved it.
59:48
Um, yeah, I mean, the transition to summer is always so interesting because you wanna, like start to play your, your young guys a little more and get them ready, but then you have these seniors who have given you everything and, and they're getting ready for college.
60:04
Um, this year was really nice because we had a little bit more depth.
60:08
So instead of Dele and, and Brody and those guys having to play 60 games, like they got a little bit of time off so some young guys could play, and I think that contributed a lot to our success 'cause we were a little bit more fresh towards the end.
60:21
You know, I think last year we went to the World Series and, you know, we, we were just, we were pretty out of gas there, and I think this year we did a little bit better job.
61:38
What keeps this program together and, and keeps them successful despite maybe not having those super high-name talents, but yet still keeping those talented guys and guys coming through the program?
3:32
[laughs]
3:33
That, that, that was a tough one, but congratulations to those guys.
3:36
They, they earned it, and they deserved it.
3:38
