Yeah, he is.

So maybe that's gonna open it up.

Uh, he had 106 yards against, uh, Winnipeg in, uh, game three of the year.

But, uh, I think first off, he set the bar way too high.

That has really hindered him in the last, uh, couple of weeks because the bar was set so high.

He had four 100-yard games in the first five games of the season.

In the game he didn't have 100 on the ground, he got 100 in the air.

What's, what's been different with Cody? What have you liked from Fajardo this season?

What would you say is your favorite moment throughout the years?

Well, the Grey Cup in 2015 is obviously a great moment.

But the funny thing about that, we didn't broadcast that game because it's a national broadcast.

So we don't get to call the game.

So it was really weird to be sitting in the press box in Winnipeg and just kind of watching the game and taking notes.

But the thing was, we did a pregame show and a postgame show that night.

And Dave Campbell, my partner on broadcast, we weren't allowed to broadcast from the stadium.

What a page morally favorite Elks player or team personality over there.

Uh, it was, was the offensive explosion that we saw from him last night kinda getting into a shooting match with Trevor Harris, or, or where do you think that came from?

Well, I just think it came from he needed to do that.

And Cody Fajardo, I think, is the kind of a guy who, who does whatever you have to do to win a football game.

Sometimes it's, it's, uh, dink and dunk, sometimes it's running the football, sometimes it's going deep, and that was the case last night.

He had to put up the numbers.

He becomes, I believe it's the fifth quarterback in CFL history to throw for over 500 yards with four touchdown passes and no interceptions.

Uh, just a tremendous game.

Uh, just w- you know, what, what kind of system has he been running that, that has made this team so effective?

What can you tell us about his status and, uh, you know, why the Elks even brought him in and what they expect from him?

Uh, well, uh, they brought him in because they feel he's a guy who can take the next step.

I think he was kind of, you know, one of the secondary receivers in Saskatchewan.

He's had 500 plus yards the last couple of years.

Hasn't had a complete season yet in the Canadian Football League, and obviously won't this year because I think w- if he plays, and I think he will play this weekend, it'll be his first game of the season this year.

But they believe he's a guy who's got a lot of potential to take that next step and be, be one of the main targets, uh, in an offense, and that's why they brought him in.

Um, they, they like him a lot, and it's been tough waiting for him to, to get healthy.

Might we be in for the biggest Elk crowd of the season?

[laughs]

... came in and they said, "No, fire everybody again." And they fired everybody again.

And then they said, "Okay, start winning." Well, they started winning.

So the, everything is in place now for people to come back to Commonwealth Stadium and watch games and have fun and enjoy their team.

Uh, whether they win or lose, you know the games are gonna be hard fought, the games are gonna be close.

So I hope the fans do start to come back and, and enjoy themselves because the games, the games so far this year, there's, you know, they've only played two home games so far this year.

But the, the games y- have been terrific.

Two of them, not all of them.

What is standing out most to you about their start to the season?

Tavis Alexander.

I mean, he just keeps winning.

It's really incredible.

He's 13-0 now in his CFL career in the regular season.

He's 2-0 this year and shot out of the gates like a cannon.

777 yards passing in two games, four touchdown passes.

If this Elks team is able to start 2-0 on Saturday night, what would that say about the progress that's been made even since training camp opened here?

So glad it's over.

I agree.

The atmosphere was great.

I really enjoyed that.

I thought the Elks did a great job of doing what they could in Clark Stadium to make it a pretty good place to watch a football game from.

One thing I'm going to remember is I got early to the tailgate area to set up for the pregame show.
