A couple of points.

One, there's a great respect between the players.

The players get on quite well.

And obviously, like anything, you cross the line, they absolutely rip the crap out of each other.

They just go hard.

Thoughts with you, mate, and hopefully you pack enough provisions to make sure that you can make the long journey there from the eastern suburbs.

So is that just purely down to the fact that Argentina have a bunch of big blokes that you don't really want to take on unless you're fresh?

Yeah, I think that's a part of it.

But I think it's also just the way the season has come together for this Les Kiss part of it.

A big trip to Osaka in Japan was 38 degrees.

I think it'd kick off.

I was sweating in my suit sideline, that's for sure.

Do you think this is strategic? Is it to keep the players fresh? Is it Les Kiss just trying to figure out what's his best side?

I think it's all of those things you've mentioned.

I actually think he's planned out...

These first three or four tests, I think the Harry Wilson rotation was planned.

Tom Hooper, one of our best players.

Outstanding player, played in the English competition last year.

He's back from injury, so it's great to have him in the squad.

Like, shouldn't they have their big money signing out there? What do you sort of think about the way that the teams are rotated so often?

Is the number one seed Carter Gordon for that jersey if fit?

Yeah, I think that's definitely the case.

And also when you look at it, it's funny that the Wallabies actually had really good incremental improvement when Noel Olasea was there for a block of games.

And then since then, Almost all of the changes have been because of injury.

Tom Liner, injury.

Carter Gordon's been injured a lot.

Donaldson's been in and out a few times.

It's a fair transformation.

And it's funny, I don't know if people saw it last week, but he credits a chat with Eddie Jones, of all people, for convincing him that he could do it.

He first went and worked, I think he was at the Northern Eagles in league when he finished off when it was that sort of pseudo merger, but really a takeover, I suppose.

Oh, it was garbage, yeah.

And then I think that was sort of falling apart and Harry Villene from the Springboks reached out and was like, can you come and do a couple of weeks? Those few weeks turned into months and then years and then, yeah, it's just, I had a good chat to him and his wife, Julie, who's been such a great support to him as well last week, just in the lead up to the game.

And we were sort of reminiscing about the almost 15 sliding doors moments throughout their professional lives that have brought him to coach his first Wallabies test.

Is this going to be... something that we might kind of see a bit more often, the old tour with a few provincial games coming back to Rugby Union?

I think so.

I think in attack, I think Leskis looks to play with a bit more width and a bit more passing.

It's funny, I had a chat to Eddie Jones after the game, you know, the interview, the coach's interview, the stock standard, what do you do? And I said, look, what did you notice? Do you think Les will be different? He said Les is known for being a bit more adventurous and innovative, a bit more less restrictive and than what Joe would have had in place.

I think eventually you'll see that.

Uh, where do you see this one going?

going?Yeah, they're in a similar point for, for, to the Tahs and the Force, but they're just a couple of spots further up the ladder.

Both of them need to right the ship.

So the Brumbies, you mentioned it, they'd beaten, up until the weekend, they'd beaten all of the New Zealand teams, Blues, Crusaders, they beat the Chiefs and the Highlanders, and then they came up short against the Hurricanes.

And if you watch that game, they did a lot of great things, scored some brilliant tries, but they had two penalties 20 meters out from the, the Hurricanes line and kicked the penalty kick dead.

And they had two lineouts on the five meters out, where normally the Brumbies would maul and score, and they lost the lineout.

So a very un-Brumbies-like performance.

Mm.

In your perfect world, what should this tournament look like moving forward, Morgz? What do we need to do to get more, I guess, exposure, publicity, you know, get these players on the front pages rather than in the middle of the paper?

Yeah, I think it's, look, the world of rugby in Australia especially is really simple.

The Reds and the Brumbies and the Force, they do a really good job where they are.

The two teams that move the needle, not just in the big city that is Sydney and the state that is Sydney, but the two teams that move the needle a bit and get rugby on the front page of the Waratahs to a certain degree, but then of course the Wallabies.

So Super Rugby teams winning and then the Wallabies winning is huge.

And so I suppose then you go back and go, well, how does Super Rugby service that? A home and away consistent competition with integrity has merit.

The big thing is how you fit it into the calendar.

A-Lots of it I'm sure you will talk about is, is that the Brumbies probably weren't here this weekend in their best capacity.

Their lineout was really poor, their opportunities were poor.

But we, we did see the flashes of brilliance that we know that they're there for, that them, that we've seen from them for so long, but they just didn't do it for long enough, and those couple of flashes of brilliance against a team as good as the Hurricanes, simply not good enough.

They missed 51 tackles, the Brumbies.

Mm.

And that point you make about they're young, but now they've played 30, 40, 50 Super caps.

A bit like the Queensland Reds team that's being built, they probably haven't kicked on as much as Australian fans would like.
