Can you say a little bit about that?
43:23
Yeah.
43:24
So when you grow up with a parent who really installs themselves as the authority on everything, you learn to outsource your reality to other people, for other people to tell you who you are, if you're safe, if you're good enough, if you're lovable, if you're attractive, if somebody's ever going to want you.
43:44
you got these events sequence of events right you're always looking for answers outside of yourself which is a big reason actually why asaps can live in fight or flight for so long because soothing themselves is all about finding people outside of them to kind of do that for them right to remind them that they are good and okay and so when they come to me or even yeah even enroll in one of my programs the act of that might even be well this person has the authority to tell me who I am.
44:15
This person has the authority, this person's gonna fix me, right? In all of these ways.
44:20
And it can be a little disappointing at first when someone first comes to me and I actually start to ask them questions about themselves.
44:26
Well, what do you think about that? Right? I'm not sure actually what I think about that just yet, but what do you think? And how would you like to do things here? There's a bit of a Bambi walk that has to happen as someone's getting their sea legs under them of finding their own opinions and figuring out who they are.
46:45
Okay, how is this discussed in the media right
