I'm at the game on the sideline.

I'm like, "Yo, I got tickets if y'all wanna come to the show." And Montez Sweat was like, "Oh, man.

They was going into rooms where everybody know you- Everybody a fan, yeah ... and they waiting for you- Yeah, right ... to be funny.

Where my, you know, I tell people all the time, my rise to where I was, where I'm at, it, it was a slow rise.

Right.

So while my sketches probably was taking a little, little longer to hit- Right ...

I was doing standup, but I was able to go in rooms, people didn't know me, so I was able to kinda work that muscle.

Loyalty or respect?

So have you ever been in a position where somebody you thought you was cool with could have did something for you and didn't? And how do you get over that? Or do you just chalk it up?

You know what? I've been around a lot of people who could have done something for me and they didn't, but I don't operate like that.

I'm not expecting anybody to do anything.

And I think that that's kind of like a testament to what I'm doing right now is just everything that I did, I built it up myself so that I didn't have to ask anybody or I didn't have to wait around for anybody to do anything for me.

Now, hearing that conversation, I have been on the flip side of it where me and someone has been close And I kind of, you know, ascended here and they kind of was kind of stuck there.

And I moved on from the friendship.

And I've circled back around, you know, to bring that person, you know, along and pass some opportunities to them just because of what we went through when we both were coming up.

So it was like they forgot about me, man.

I had started going viral and I was doing good.

And then they hit me up.

But I did wanna be, like, a, like, seriously, I was really, like, wanted to be a FBI agent.

I wanted to do all that shit, man.

But, you know, as, you know, like you was talking about my crew, I got in trouble when I was 17 years old.

But so they have that at the counter, like an impulse buy?

Bro, it was like, I don't know.

So I went and I've noticed that, uh, a lot of big dudes wear small people's clothes.

So we was at Louis Vuitton, and they didn't have my size in anything.

Mm.

And I remember that.

I, I, I remember tried to hand her her blunt.

She wasn't strong enough to lift her hand up.

She said, "Just put it in my mouth." And I put the blunt in her mouth, and I walked out.

And I remember I went and sat on the front porch of the building that, [clears throat] that she was living in.

My parents owned a building in Chicago that she was having her hospice care there.

And he turned you down.

I wanna say this was maybe, maybe a few months after that.

And, uh, d- they reached out to me, and w- it- it was something that they were supposed to be doing with a group of comedians where they was putting us all together, and I never really got the full details o- o- or what it was exactly we were supposed to be doing.

And I remember the guy that I was talking to that was booking for it, you know, we were going back and forth.

He was like, "Hey, we'll have the contract ready for you Tuesday." And then Tuesday came, and I didn't hear nothing.

And so Wednesday came.

Now, I needed this money at the time, too.
