Yeah, so we mentioned it a bit in your intro, but tell us about your career path as a baseball player and a coach and when you do start from your high school playing career and take us through college and then also through your career to the point where you finally were named the head coach at Wittenberg.

Yeah, so I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, graduated from Olentangy Liberty in 2014, which is a really good baseball school.

You know, kind of got lucky there where I was able to play for a really good program and a college coach or a high school coach that actually knew my future college coach as well, but then ended up going to Alderson Broaddus for four years and pitching down there and really enjoyed my experience and actually Alders and Broad is closed so we don't really have a homecoming to go to anymore but enjoyed my experience down there and got to pitch a lot like you said a little bit earlier and it wasn't always pretty but I was always available but really enjoyed my time and towards the end of that I kind of knew like okay there's not gonna be you know much of a a playing career after this and my former college coach had said like hey like have you ever thought about coaching like i think you'd be pretty good at it and i think that was after my sophomore year and so i was like oh you know and i started looking down some different avenues and you know it piqued my interest and so then after i graduated started applying for some graduate assistant jobs and you know wanted to test it out so Went up to Walsh Division II, and actually they were in the same conference we played in.

And Coach Meade, who's actually going in the ABCA Hall of Fame this year, gave me my first opportunity as a coach and very fortunate for that.

So I worked with the pitchers as the grad assistant and then was there for just a year and then moved over to Adrian.

My college coach actually played at Adrian, knew Coach Rainey really well, and then actually Their pitching guy at the time who left and took another job, his little brother was a pitcher on our staff at Walsh.

So I had multiple kind of angles and they were texting me like, hey, would you be interested? So made that first jump and it was another short jump because I was only there for for nine games, and Coach Rainey still gives me a little bit of slack.

What in your mind actually changed at Wittenberg? What did Coach McGee begin doing differently? Then what did you begin doing differently to not only get the Wittenberg program moving in the right direction, but build a top 15 team in the country? How does a coaching staff, and probably an administration, because I'm guessing they had a lot to do with it too, turned more than two decades of struggle into four straight seasons of legitimate high-level national success.
