when you say defending against ai i wonder if there's the question of for crowd striking the cyber security players if ai is friend or foe many have argued they actually should be viewed as friend you know but earlier this year you had cyber security caught up in the sas apocalypse as well we've seen quite the recovery for many names in that sector is ai friend or foe to the likes of a crowd strike from your point of view mitch
2:32
answer is yes.
2:33
It is a foe, absolutely, because the bad guys obviously use AI to their advantage.
2:39
But why it's a friend is in order to defend against AI, AI attacks, and the progress or the velocity of which we advance with the kind of attacks that happen against our organizations, is you have to operate at machine speed.
2:53
In order for Organizations operate at machine speed to defend against AI.
2:57
It takes AI to do that.
2:59
We talk about human in the loop.

What's your thought on what he says about AI being an inflection point?
1:36
Mitch some of your thoughts.
1:40
Yeah, happy to jump in.
1:41
Good to see you too.
1:42
And thank you, Nicole, for having me on.
1:44
Palo Alto, as we were talking about, is a very strong company and they had decent performance.
1:49
It wasn't that they had a bad quarter.
1:51
They're being punished for that.
3:07
Mitch, just to come back to you for one quick moment, you know, which ones are your favorites, you know, number one and two in the group? Why?

2:59
I mean, what they're doing right here as they continue to grow and see rising demand.
3:05
You see a big move by vendors like Cisco, like Oracle, like Zscaler, even OpenText, moving to a data platform approach.
3:12
What does that mean? It means the silos of data that we use across the organizations, whether it's security operations, IT operations, business intelligence, even the data that we use for our products and services.
3:25
Those things have been traditionally very siloed.
3:27
And yes, we've done things like data lakes and technologies to try to get them into one place to be able to access and use those.
3:34
Now the emphasis is around how to create a fabric of data.
3:37
In essence, it doesn't matter whether the security telemetry is coming alongside from another application or another service that's doing application telemetry.

I know your focus is security and AI, but when you think about AI overall and security, any other names that you do like that we didn't mention yet today?
