So [laughs] I'm like, "But 40,000 out of my pocket."
32:06
It infuriates me.
32:07
So, you know, what I've done personally, again, and then I'll come back to the...
32:11
This will bring us back to the cash.
32:13
I bought kind of concierge medicine for about 10 years.
32:16
I had an MDVIP doctor as my primary care doctor, and she was great.
32:20
She was really wonderful.

48:02
Um, I've got a speaking opportunity I'm gonna recommend you for." How do we start helping each other in the way that men have been doing that already for decades?
8:08
Sorry about that.
8:10
Yeah, no, no, that's fine.
8:11
I just wanted to jump in and add from a patient's point of view, my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago, had a double mastectomy.
8:21
I spent an hour and then reconstruction and complications with reconstruction.
8:27
And then so many side effects from the drugs she's supposed to take to keep certain things suppressed.
8:36
After she was luckily stage one, it had was in her lymph nodes a little bit, but it was caught really early, but severe side effects.
8:47
And watching the fragmentation and going through with it, holding her hand, having her get to the hospital, literally this happened at 5.15 in the morning for her double mastectomy, to go to the window to check in.
13:21
What is the approach of RX utility and how are you guys approaching this and what do you see out there?
4:55
You know, I really need to build RX Utility.
4:59
Yeah, thank you.
5:00
I wanted to build a tool, a utility that would help people be able to answer the question, how much does my medicine cost? And it's sort of ridiculous, as you know, in our healthcare system that no consumer knows what their drug costs until they get to the pharmacy counter and then they're told.
5:25
And that's really unacceptable sort of in an age of consumerism.
5:29
And certainly it's been very intentional by the healthcare system to be very opaque around pricing.
5:38
Even in that opacity, that we have, there are affordability tools.
5:45
And one of the things that I learned about the copay coupon ecosystem that are manufacturer sponsored coupons, it's just like I say, you know, it's just like when you had your kids were little and you would go use a Pampers coupon on Pampers, you know, that coupon is sponsored by the manufacturer.

15:01
Is that really how you approach the company from the beginning?
4:21
That strikes me as a very, very, very logical and heartening way for somebody who is working on this problem to be focused.
4:32
Yeah, you know, there's we hear people talk about sort of access to health care.
4:37
Maybe you've heard that phrase access to our health care system is kind of difficult.
4:41
Sometimes that's it's hard to get an appointment, which sometimes it is.
4:45
Sometimes it's I can't afford my medicine, which is something that I felt like I could help with.
4:54
And One of the facts of the health care system or our U.S. health care system is that we have very high costs, but we have very poor outcomes, meaning outcomes, meaning people don't get well and stay well.
5:11
Right.
