Mm-hmm.

And we realized that, like, thousands and thousands of families were at risk of losing their homes at this point.

And this really i- led us to explore what are other communities doing, um, how are they addressing this? And we heard through the grapevine that, uh, Santa Clara County in California had recently done a randomized control trial where they created a program where folks, um, in their community could, l-like, obtain rental assistance help with no cap, and they could also come back if they needed a, you know, an extra month here or there, or if they were good and then something happened six months down the road, they could return for help.

So this really intrigued us.

We were like, "Oh my gosh, we gotta hear more." So when we heard that th- what Santa Clara was doing at the, almost the same time, we learned that, um, Notre Dame's Lab for Economic Opportunities was, uh, opening up a, a cohort in the King County, Greater King County area.

And, um, we put two and two together and realized that they had just completed that research, um, with Santa Clara.

Okay.

And they actually were then served through a mobile outreach team, and the, the outreach team ended up helping mom break down some of those barriers to housing and, uh, help them get into a new place.
