For you, was this something that she kind of pushes out of her mind and tries not to revisit? Or alternatively, is it something that you feel is in her mind constantly, just unacknowledged, and her anger was rooted in that unacknowledgement?

Yeah, I mean, it, it's not a r- so they lost a daughter, um, a baby daughter named Patricia, and this isn't, like, a super fresh wound.

It's been years.

Um, grief is not linear.

Um, some days you're fine, weirdly fine, and other days you can't get off the couch, right? So I think mostly she's in a phase of her life where she's fine, you know? Life is rolling along, and that grief is something that she has just put in a, in a private place.

Um, the fact that she and Fred never really grieved together, um, that he isolated and got very, uh, private, which I guess signaled for her that that's the way it was gonna go.

So she did her grieving privately.

For you, what was it about Ibby that allowed her walls to come down in a way that she's not used to?

How much character work was needed for you? Did you torture yourself a lot for this role?

No.

Actually, this was kind of a gift because more often than not, I don't get to play people close to myself.

And that's fun in a different way, to kind of be a character actor and be really different than myself.

But this one was closer to home.
