And there was a story recently that came out during the Ballon d'Or nominations when Wendy Renard said, got nominated and then like the French team basically was like congrats to our nominees which were like current French players and left out Wendy Bernard like like not even saying anything about this French legend like why does it feel like retirements are so awkward sometimes like
27:11
I don't think they've spoken about enough.
27:13
No.
27:13
I think there's so many, probably like our era, there's not many that actually have retired.
27:19
But I think there's still so many players that already have retired years ago that it just was never, for me, it was never spoken about.
27:26
It was never...
27:28
Like, it is a big deal.
30:11
Is there one instance when you first became a professional footballer or even before that? that you know fast forward to where you both are now and these types of decisions you're making and these experiences now we're experiencing in women's football like what are the two kind of contrasting stories that you feel like when you're like wow you both have done so much for the game you know like think back to that first story and then the next one like what are those two kind of contrasting stories you'd say
21:10
For you guys, it's a much bigger decision.
21:13
100% and it's not it's not just that and that's why another thing is I'm really proud that again we're the club that's leading the way in the WSL we we've done something that all of the clubs should do like now we've set the tone with fertility support and the maternity in ends program that should be in place but now by us doing it which of course Chelsea have to do it first yes love that It gives the power of other players in other clubs to be like, well, where's ours? We should have that.
21:42
As a woman, I should have that.
21:44
I should have that support and I shouldn't have to choose football or family.
21:47
Because let's be honest, family is much bigger than football because it's there forever.
21:51
It's always going to be there forever and you shouldn't ever have to be in that position as a woman to make a choice.
21:57
It should be fully supported.
24:43
It's
18:17
Yeah.
18:17
And I think a lot of people see the top teams and they'll say, "Oh, Germany underperformed." But is it that, or is it that the rest of the world have developed, got better? And I think they fully deserve the win, to be honest, the way they worked as a collective.
18:27
And that's the thing, and I've learnt this under Emma, you can have- amazing individuals, if you don't work as a team-

Yeah
26:18
... like, when we won the Euros 2022, our first game was Austria, Old Trafford, you know, opening the tournament, massive moment.
26:25
We only won one-nil, and straight away we've just won the first game of the tournament, you know, three points is amazing in your first game.
