This was a

passion for her, wasn't it? Yes, it was.

And she was one of the founders, and she was president for many years.

One of her goals was to get a bust of a famous Irish person, and the bust without the head is up there in the corner of Victor Herbert.

I recall my sister Joni and I were in grade school, and we unveiled... that when it was dedicated.

I would love to see that get a bust on Mr. Herbert's head on there.

And es- especially as far as learning and teaching, it was just basically you're doing it yourself.

Yeah, 'cause a, 'cause a lot of that stems from, um, I grew up pretty poor, you know, below the poverty level.

And, um, I, you know, my education w- uh, I barely graduated high school.

Um, I had no interest in furthering my education school-wise.

And, uh, you know, I got a job out of high school as a welder, and I have a, a problem with authority, so that didn't last too long.

So it's like, "Well, I'll just build cars.
