What do you make of the Wallace and the North Adelaide announcement today with the Premier?
22:48
Well, Deanna's always a lovely lady, isn't she? And an exciting project for them.
22:53
I'm not sure everyone in North Adelaide would agree that It's two parts to this story.
22:59
The first and, I guess, the most glamorous part, if that's what you call it, is a new 16-storey development on top of the Piccadilly Cinema, which the Wallace family, in conjunction with another developer, are building.
23:12
And now these will be luxury apartments.
23:15
And most of it, well, the facade and quite a bit of the interior of the historic and heritage listed Piccadilly will stay by law.
23:26
And then apartments on top of that.

29:34
Can we build anything in this country, Mike, in Victoria or South Australia, of a big build variety without a link to a bikey somewhere?
26:37
Mm
26:37
... that, um, friends of Josie Murray accused police of showing transgender bias against Josie, and that is what has led, they say, to the suspicion that she is in the frame for whatever.
26:55
[laughs] No charges have been laid, so Josie can do and, and say what she wants.
27:01
Um, but Linda Williams was very strident as, uh, she came out of the hearing, and I put that question to her and she said, "No, there is definitely, that would never happen with police, uh, in an investigation of this nature." So we take that, um, at, at, as the deputy commissioner has put it.
27:22
But I also said to her, what about other claims of, um, an apology had to be offered according to, um, Josie at the time because she said police either ignored, um, evidence that might have led to some sort of breakthrough in the case, a footprint in a, in the mud around a, a dam for, for starters, that they said, "No, that's a police diver's footprint," where it was far too small to be that, and the, the tread of the footprint in the mud matched that of a, a shoe, shoe that, um, Gus had, uh, been wearing.
27:56
So little things like that that don't look good for police, but, uh, Linda Williams wouldn't comment on that.
28:02
She said it's part of an active police investigation, so, um, she is not in a position to comment.

They were meant to be November this year, and they'll pass it with the support of the Greens, but it's not without a bit of controversy.
3:56
Mm.

We had to get you on, though, because the breaking news last night, we've been hearing it all day on 5AA today, Sarah Game has changed parties again.
4:06
She has.
4:08
She's gone to family first, third party in a year.
4:13
Quite an amazing sight for a politician, I guess you could say.
4:16
She's quitting her own party to go to another party.
4:20
I haven't spoken to Sarah.
4:21
I don't quite know what the rationale is other than Family First and the abortion bill, which she's introducing again, which she hopes to get up in the upper house today and into tonight.
7:30
So now Sarah gets the security of the Family First.

What is the latest with the new school phone band's figures?
24:28
Well, it's interesting, and the government's very keen to push its wares on this one, that they had a press conference down south today, but they're saying that the new data that they've got shows that mobile phone bans are driving a change in schools.
24:43
And bear in mind, remember, the bans came in very controversially three years ago, so they have three years' worth of statistics to present today.
24:53
Really, they're comparing year on year and term on term, so... for the figures they got for Term 1, it's carrying those through.
25:01
But students not complying with the policy has declined by 66% in those three years.
25:09
Inappropriate behaviour involving a device declined by 48%.
25:13
And social media issues such as cyberbullying or sharing explicit content, that declined by a massive 74% over that period.
28:19
What is the latest, Mike Smithson, on the proton therapy machine?
134:02
I mean, if you can fake
134:02
sincerity, you've got it made.
134:04
I'm not saying he fakes it.
134:06
I think he's a genuinely very, as Jackie says, very... caring person, but I think on top of that, that he's politically very smart.
134:17
And I'll tell you what, a funny thing happened to me on the way to, no, a funny thing happened a few weeks ago, it was a few months ago actually, I was lucky enough to be at the Penfold's launch of the AFL gather round and happened to be sitting on a nice table and the Premier was And the head of the AFL and various others were sitting one table away but in the eye line of those people who were speaking on stage.
134:45
Anyway, late in the evening and I was sitting there just enjoying the night and I noticed Don Farrell, Senator Don Farrell, who was extremely influential in political terms and very much a mentor of Peter Malinowskis.
135:00
Yeah.
