So then I started my, uh, TV show, had a Roku TV show, and it was like a horror variety show, and I wanted, like, like a host to be like a evil Rod Serling who would come on, and, uh, he would host the show, and he would, uh, threaten the, the viewers that if they didn't watch, he was gonna come to their house and kill them.

So, uh, I wanted Bill Oberst to be that, but it was a deferred payment type of thing where we didn't have a budget, so, uh, we needed to defer payment until we got, uh, money from the show.

So his manager would not let him do it.

But, uh, since I sent him the monologue, he fell in love with my writing, so he became a big fan of mine after that.

And I'd, I'd wanted to work with him for years, but every project I worked on was...
