Um, hearing that, what, what's your perspective on our situation here at Charlotte-Mecklenburg?
10:32
So most of the legislation for the way these systems work with school boards and, and, and lots of other local government have been written and pieced together over time, and things have changed.
10:45
We are in a society where things are moving faster than the legislation can keep up, and that's part of the issue.
10:54
And there's also, especially, uh, uh, school boards and administration, there's a lot of blurred lines, there's not supposed to be, but there are, between governance and administration.
11:06
The superintendent, in most cases, is responsible for the day-to-day activity and what's happening inside the school system.
11:14
The board is, uh, designed to be an oversight mechanism so that they can help keep the superintendent on track for the needs of the community.
11:24
That's why they answer in elections to, to the community.

But, um, I think that, or the, um, there was a question on, I don't know if it was Barstool or what, but, uh, it was, it, would you take $10 million to take 10 half-court shots, but if you miss all 10, you gotta spend a year in jail?
