What do you remember from that crash?

Oh, I remember all of it.

It looked a lot worse than it felt.

I mean, I knew that was a brand new car.

We ran three laps.

I came in.

It was loose end.

But what is your experience about the difference between the restructuring happening at a healthy firm and a distressed firm?

So it's definitely the case that it should be exactly the way you're talking about, right? That the goal in restructuring should be about preserving value.

And I think that was much more the case early in my career.

But things have changed a little bit.

I know we'll get into how the markets changed in a lot of ways.

But where that has changed is that the control rights of the firm and what those control rights do don't always lead to outcomes that lead to value preservation.

There is, in essence, altered goals for many distressed companies.

Where does something like that sit against those?

How important is draft day really in fantasy football?

Well, I mean, huge from the emotional, psychological lift of it all because it beats football's back and it's imminent, right? Because you wait until that last minute, right? It's Braveheart.

Hold.

And then you finally unleash it, right? I was returning a rental car.

I was wearing my Cutler jersey because I had to walk and whatever.

I'm like, ah, it's 95 degrees.

But long story short, it immediately starts going, so what do I do with the Bears guys in draft day? And, like, all of a sudden two other attendants come walking over, and I got a mini thing going on here just because I'm wearing a Jay Cutler jersey.

Oh, OK.

Mm-hmm.

So if we go back and we talk to our own people and say, "Listen, they're not here to just, you know, make money off of us or, you know, put us out like we're nobody, we're, like we're not here anymore.

But they actually treated us with dignity and respect.

They actually want to make sure that these things are carried on and passed on, not only for our seven generations, but theirs as well.
