I- if it's one of the communication signals that you talked about, um, it's, it's probably a bit easier.

Um, but if it's one of these more subtle signatures, um, you know, you, you'd really need to look at the data.

You'd need to analyze almost every bit of the data to be absolutely sure that you haven't introduced something into the data by, you know, poor calibration or a bad analysis pipeline or, or whatever.

So I think internally, you, you would do what you, you would do with any discovery, is you'd make sure that, you know, you were absolutely certain that you hadn't, you know, done something wrong.

And, you know, if you still felt, well, this is, you know, really good evidence of, you know, extraterrestrial intelligence, then you'd, you'd kind of go out and ask, you know, you know, other people to basically verify what you've observed using, you know, a different telescope with a different set of software, different people doing the analysis with a different perspective.Um, I think before you start announcing it on Instagram.
