I don't know if you could just walk me through that.
70:36
Yeah.
70:36
So it's funny because I've always actually hated school, ADHD.
70:39
Yeah.
70:41
No, I wanted to build a shop on my property and the town I live in, they didn't want me to do it unless I put it up front.
70:48
And I wanted to teach veterans, only veterans at the time.
70:50
I was like, well, you know, like, let's help these guys out.

10 MINS LATER

PatHOST
81:17
What do you guys have planned? What's next for the organization? Where can people help you guys or participate or join any veterans out there if there's any way that they can get involved? I just want to kind of wherever you guys want to go with that.
28:35
Yeah.
28:35
You guys, my philosophy is you're there 15 minutes early, you get set up, you stretch, and by the time, if we have a 7:00 to 9:00 practice, when 7:00 rolls around, we are starting our first drill.
28:45
So those are kind of expectations I always have for my teams, just because if you wanna get to the next level and you are playing at a high level, these are things that you will go through at college.
28:54
So I'm trying to treat my teams like they are college teams.
28:57
I want them to go through higher experience drills, advanced drills.
29:01
I just had my recent advanced clinic that I was running throughout the summer, and I was just sitting there pounding away at them with all the swings I was giving, the drills I was making them run around like crazy.
29:11
Like, I'm not a big...
30:16
Another important aspect of your game and your s- your certifications in personal training and strength and conditioning, uh, how'd you get interested into that side of it, and how does that impact your coaching?
JesseHOST
2:32
How did you realize that?
2:33
Well, we were with Nielsen or a subsidiary of Nielsen, and when we spun off in the early '80s, we couldn't do anything that was competitive with Nielsen clients.
2:41
So one of the guys had written a program on an IBM mainframe, an old IBM 360, for Anderson Clayton Foods for creating names, and he thought, "Well, let's do this for PCs," 'cause PCs were new back in the mid '80s.
2:54
And I thought it was really exciting.
2:56
I had more of a marketing background and a marketing research background in school, and the other guys were much more mathematical and algorithmic and business driven.
3:04
They didn't necessarily see the scale or the excitement around naming.
3:08
But once you create a few names and you start talking to customers and you really understand how important is it that the name tie into the packaging, the visuals, the window dressing around the name makes all the difference in the world.

10 MINS LATER

JesseHOST
13:16
Okay, have you ever seen, in your line of work especially, people who have done that, who've gone through that route, where they have taken a fully made-up name and then turned it into a brand and had it be successful?
15:07
What, um, what do you suppose the bad guys would be after in a situation like this? Are, are there things that, that have a, a big red bullseye on them?
15:17
It's a great question.
15:17
So looking at the previous attacks and, and the environment we live in today, I think there's a couple of different main driving factors.
15:29
The first is financial.
15:30
Uh, that comes in a couple of different segments.
15:32
The first is being able to, uh, you know, access funds that aren't yours, right? Being able to attack credit card processing systems or ticketing systems and, and extract funds.
15:44
Ransomware is a huge, uh, factor today these days, right? Um, the ability to turn off an event that the whole world is watching presents a lot of time and financial pressure for an organization to, you know, succumb to those demands.
18:02
Are there lessons that, that we can take away from large events like this that, you know, the folks defending their own networks can apply?
