Why did you decide to focus on teachers?

Yeah, actually, building on what Emma said, elections are a zero sum.

And why America is great is that we all believe in growth.

We can all win.

So elections, I think, are a poor way to exemplify our civic engagement or a suboptimal way.

For me, we started our organization focusing on Teach for America, an amazing organization.

And we think that is a courageous act as well, to believe deeply in children who may have not had the opportunities they deserve, to see them as incredibly brilliant, and to invest everything you have in helping that brilliance shine and having them be as successful as they could be and have every opportunity you think they deserve.
