So we're seeing the targeting of members of the public to move their pensions into unsafe investments that are usually fraudulent.

Most of the hallmarks we see are unsolicited contacts, so contacts out of the blue, enticing people into guaranteed investments, fixed returns at a high rate and kind of offers that really are too good to be true.

So, for example, we've seen the use of really professional looking websites that look and mirror legitimate company websites, sometimes clones.

So they give the appearance that they're either a pension scheme website or maybe a legitimate company like a big insurance provider.

that gives that air of legitimacy and makes people feel that they're dealing with that person or that company so that they feel comfortable to transfer.
