3:23

Mickey GasperGUEST
I mean, I've, I've had a few teammates in professional baseball that I, I was the first person from New Hampshire that they had met.

Ryan ProvencherHOST
And what does it mean to just be, be part of that part of the big league club now, and just to see the turnaround that a lot of these guys had a hand in for?

So, you know, looking at your numbers and your at-bats, what do you think is something that's helped you prolong kind of that consistent success like is obviously your the quality of your bats is I think what makes you who you are like the high the quality of contact is great like that comes and goes with baseball you know that absolutely right you know it's a round ball round bat you can be millimeters off and fly out instead of hitting a hole so like how much of that focus on just the quality of that and getting yourself in good counts has been the part of this big thing here

Mickey GasperGUEST
Yeah, I think that's what makes me who I am, is swinging at strikes, taking balls, trying to battle tough pitches that I think, you know, are those 50-50 balls.

Mickey GasperGUEST
And, you know, just right now I think it comes down to rhythm and timing, you know.

Mickey GasperGUEST
I'm kind of taking my two-strike approach from the get-go because, you know, sometimes I can get too passive early looking for that perfect pitch, whereas two strikes, you know, I'm more aggressive to, you know, say, you know, a breaking ball that I can handle that might be a little low.

Mickey GasperGUEST
That's not the perfect pitch I'm looking for early, but I can still handle it and do damage on it.

Mickey GasperGUEST
So, you know, really it comes down to, you know, being aggressive, controlled aggression, obviously, and knowing that I'm trying to stay gap to gap.
