Michelle TubmanGUEST
It's not within my, my wheelhouse, but I certainly see patients on every shift who come to the emergency department with side effects from them.

Michelle TubmanGUEST
But the other thing that's important, too, to say here is it's not necessarily just side effects that cause people to stop taking this, this medication.

Michelle TubmanGUEST
So you also mentioned in there that you need to stay on it to maintain weight loss over time.

Michelle TubmanGUEST
Um, the studies are actually quite convincing that even if you stay on these medications long term, the weight does eventually, um, start to creep back on, and this is due to very physiological reasons called metabolic adaptation, is that your body systems actually start to adapt to the lower calorie intake, um, that you're taking in with these medications.
