Um, And I'm curious, how did you first discover Jeff and his work? And what made you want to start that partnership together?

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
Yeah, Jeff has been a longtime fixture in the Sacramento ceramics community.

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
He also went to UC Davis and had shown at another gallery called Solomon Dubnik in the late 90s, early 2000s.

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
And when the partnership there just wasn't quite going the way he wanted it to go, he approached the gallery.

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
This is like right when I started working there to see if we would be interested in showing some of his work.

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
And at the time, He was very much making what he continues to make today, cakes, other non-functional ceramics that are food themed.

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
So all non-functional though, that's something I really want to emphasize is his insistence upon making ceramics that are purely for the enjoyment of looking at and interacting with, not necessarily for their functional use.

Ryan DurbinHOST
So I know there's a lot of systems behind the scenes that need to happen to to schedule things appropriately?

So why do you think CrossFit Kids is important, particularly like in today's society and maybe even especially in Hong Kong?

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
And I think especially after COVID, we saw a massive drop in motivation in the kids to move.

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
I mean, kids these days, they play sports like tennis and, and, and swim and play football, for example.

Michelle O'BrienGUEST
So think about tennis, you've got racket swings, in football, you've got football drills, footwork, in swimming, you've got swimming strokes.

You know, but it's all kind of a bit of a, a never ending loop, which is from a business perspective, great, but also, yeah, like we've said, uh, repeatedly from a community perspective, is super powerful.
