As a medium, is there certain things that you see quite consistently at deaths?

Michelle LerayGUEST
So, I mean, again, it depends on the person and depends on the environment, depends on support, how much support they have and all of that, because that affects the energy, right? So when someone is around, like, their family, because often when someone is on a trajectory towards natural death and, you know, going through active dying, in the days leading up to that, they might start talking about their parents, like, oh, you know, mom's there, and they're talking about stuff, but when their loved ones shut them down and say it's a hallucination, which definitely is not, a visitation is very different, then they kind of keep it to themselves, and the energy just gets a bit subdued, but if everything's going really well, then the energy changes really close to death, and it's like time doesn't exist anymore in that room, and it feels like it's just very peaceful and light.

Michelle LerayGUEST
And again, not to make death sound like this wonderful, great thing all the time, but certainly our bodies and our spirits are programmed to die, and it knows how to die naturally, and it knows how to make it as peaceful as possible when the time comes.

Michelle LerayGUEST
But that's something that we forget and we don't talk about, so people still worry about it.

Michelle LerayGUEST
But in the room, yes, if you're able to be sensitive enough to it and you pay attention, it can be just filled with love.

For you, was this something that you had to train yourself in or really finding, was finding this a self-expression for you, putting to use skills and gifts that you already had?

Michelle LerayGUEST
I would say for myself personally, definitely, this is something I was always called to do.

Michelle LerayGUEST
I knew that I would be someone who could be beside those who, you know, walking beside them as far as I can take them on that journey.

Michelle LerayGUEST
It's something that I've always felt drawn to, even when loved ones of my own were dying.

Michelle LerayGUEST
And I was very humbled and grateful to be able to be by their bedside as much as possible during their time.

Michelle LerayGUEST
And seeing that it was something that I just felt, as you say, it was very intuitive.

Michelle LerayGUEST
It's something that I can just... tune into and kind of have an idea as to what everyone in the room needs what everybody around needs and to offer that insight and guidance to those who maybe are overwhelmed and stressed by the weight of this because it is difficult not everyone knows what to do when someone they love is dying and to have someone come in and not lead or tell everyone what to do but to guide and offer suggestions to offer that insight it can make a huge difference for how everyone faces that time
