Michelle LauGUEST
I think, firstly, the fact that it's one of the first local competitions here in Toronto.

Michelle LauGUEST
But for some reason, Toronto was kind of missing that little section so we have Nat going in a very lovely like thriving Toronto and giving our competitors and also anyone who's interested in joining this a platform to have the opportunity to perform to have the motivation and also like the goal setting to take their musical excellence to the next level but I also think what's really interesting about it is that we have an interesting mix of both young and also more seasoned professionals on the jury.

Michelle LauGUEST
And they're both performers and also teachers and for a young competition, and I'm also talking about the competitors, I think it's really interesting that we will be able to have um people who are closer to their age that are professional musicians to give them actual written advice from the jury to all of our competitors um and that's going to be like eight jury members who are writing all this out it's very rare for a serious competition to be able to actually have a lot of written down comments if any at all and that's kind of like being able to have a small mini master class with all eight of these wonderful jurors and so For a serious competition to offer this much type of nurturing by giving out the written comments, but also in our own content, we're trying to create this culture of not so much about elitism and like how good your music is, but that the community is going to be forming and that we are wanting to give the younger generation, how do I put it, more welcoming and also a new, fresh, youthful feeling of presenting their music are some of the most exciting things that I think are coming out of this competition.

Amos VangHOST
How does the youthfulness benefit the competition and how do you plan to promote the competition's youthfulness and energy to Toronto and the world?

Michelle LauGUEST
Um, both in like the benefit and the promotion, I feel that some of it is kind of already baked in to the competition because it is young, but also because the jury is young and our team is on the younger side.

Michelle LauGUEST
So naturally the way we're going to market or the way we're going to relate to the applicants or the way that we're going to be making content is going to be much more accessible to the young people.
