What makes one hyaluronic acid filler different from another?
2:15
Yeah.
2:15
So when we say hyaluronic acid, that's like saying cars are made of steel.
2:20
Are cars made of steel anymore? But you get what I'm saying.
2:22
You're just saying the raw materials.
2:24
You're saying nothing about how it's fabricated, how it's put together, how it's molded, the other parts, right? So just knowing hyaluronic acid, that's like saying I have time in my suit.
2:34
We still don't know what the suit tastes like.
5:27
So how has the approach to fillers changed or evolved? Where are we now with fillers?
44:52
How do you address those fears? It's kind of a range of fears, um, having to do with sunscreen.
44:58
Yeah, you know, those fears are not really based on the data.
45:02
So the data we have, we do not have any data linking sunscreen or any of the filters to, um, cancer, so that's just inaccurate.
45:11
And when we talk about toxicity, you know, that word toxicity is so often used, but what- if we double-click on that, what changes do they believe are happening to create cancers? We don't have any evidence of cellular changes that are, um, creating cancers.
45:27
We just don't have that data after years and years and years of using these sunscreens.
45:32
We know that with the chemical filters, we do absorb a little bit and we do get a blood level, but in all the years of studying this, we've not seen any signs that we are causing any cancers, any lymphomas, any, um, solid tumors of any sort with these filters.
45:47
And for those individuals that are concerned about toxicity, um, a conversation that's not had enough is that we can use mineral sunscreens.
47:52
One of the misconceptions about skin cancer, and you hinted at this, or actually you addressed it directly in the beginning of this interview, is that it only affects lighter-skinned people, and that is not true.
24:06
Is it going to irritate you?
24:08
You know, in some people it can, especially the higher concentrations.
24:10
Okay.
24:11
Yeah.
24:11
What's next? So this is L'Oreal Bright Reveal.
24:13
So this is for the person who says, please don't make me buy another serum, right? That's not me.
24:19
They want to multitask.
25:18
you like doing these morning or night?
2:36
All right, let's dig
2:37
in.
2:38
So I am not a classically trained esthetician.
2:41
So I'm going to take you way back.
2:44
Graduated college, had degrees in apparel design, fashion merchandising, business and art.
2:49
I actually spent quite a bit of time at Target.
2:52
I know we kind of conversed before we jumped on, but loved my time there.

12 MINS LATER

15:06
So what happened when the world shut down?
14:06
But there's a difference.
14:07
Exactly.
14:08
So sunspots are a consequence of chronic UV light, and they're smaller.
14:12
They're more discreet.
14:12
You're gonna see them in areas where you had excess sun exposure, so on the face, the hands, the shoulders, the chest.
16:08
We're talking about Ariana Grande.
16:09
During last night's tour stop in Chicago, she paused her concert to address her decision to step back from public life.
16:17
NBC's Emily Accardi joins us now with that story.
1:42
[laughs]
1:42
That is wild.
1:44
I get a firsthand look at Jim Henson's incredible creature shop to find out what it takes to bring his legendary puppets to life.
1:53
And you can visit I Ain't Got Nobody.
1:57
Here's Looking at You Kid.
1:59
I Could Wear This in a Meeting Now with Craig and Go to Sleep today, Monday, July 27th, 2026.
2:08
Live from Studio 1A in Rockefeller Plaza, this is the third hour of Today.

15 MINS LATER

17:11
[upbeat music] Puppeteering is a really special skill, but building a good puppet, that is a really exciting process.
1:42
Break it down.
1:42
Absolutely.
1:43
So I always say black don't crack, but it does dull, sag and fade eventually.
1:47
So there are things we need to do, but we're starting out with a 10 to 15 year advantage.
1:52
And that's what we see in studies.
1:53
And a big part of that is our melanins.
1:56
Our melanin is literally a UV shield.
2:53
Is it not true that the darker the skin, the more protective you are from UV or ultraviolet light that comes from the sun?
11:48
Okay, so tell us about this new
11:50
ingredient and when we might see it.
11:51
Yes, so Bemotrizol, or B-E-M-T for short.
11:54
So this ends a 27-year drought on UV filters.
11:58
And what's really exciting about this is it really fills a hole that we've had in our market.
12:02
So in the U.S., we only have 16.
12:03
In Europe, they have 30-plus.
13:43
What is the best way to really take care of yourself this summer as far as your skin is concerned?
11:44
If you
11:44
think about sunscreen, think of sunscreen as the bodyguard for your body, right? So when we look at UV light, it has many wavelengths.
11:51
We have UVA, which we call UV aging.
11:53
It penetrates deeper.
11:54
It pokes holes in our collagen.
11:55
It makes us look older, but also contributes to melanoma and skin cancer.
11:59
UVB is the bad guy.
13:25
If you want to just take a look at home, what's kind of the home examinations?
