And so how I got that job is I had made a short film, and I, I'd self-funded it, produced it myself, and, um, I was really broke at the time, but I had, I had, I think I had, like, three grand, and I was like, "I'm gonna use one of these grands to make this film, and I'm gonna call in every favor, and I'm gonna just write a little scene, uh, between me and a friend, and I'm gonna, and I'm gonna film it." And I remember filming it, and I just really feeling like I don't know what I'm do- I obviously I didn't film it.

Um, another, uh, person that I work with, Henry, uh, who I'd worked with on Vice, and he's, like, really good, um, with factual content, is a great DOP, he recorded.

And I just asked in a bunch of favors, and when we got to the edit of that, I was like, "This is a pile of shit.

This is, I don't think this is good at all." And I just kept on telling myself, "You have to finish it.
