How about you with the kids kinda starting and I know that you're rolling out a coaching program and everything, so how has everything been with your transition?
10:32
Great questions.
10:33
Yeah, I do like that what you said at the end of, yeah, it's just a season.
10:36
Like, if this is a few nights, like, or a week or whatever, it's just a season, knowing that that's not your ultimate goal, to give yourself grace in that and know that you need some sleep, just normal stuff.
10:47
I think our transition to school has been good.
10:49
Now that Ashley's a junior, she's looking at a whole new, I feel like, train of information, and I'm seeing this train of college coming with applying to all kinds of places and paperwork and all things.
11:01
So, and then also having them go to college, I see online a bunch of people, "I took my kid to college," and I'm already weepy, crying, like, "I won't get to see her," and she's still here for two more years.

So that is my advice.
21:05
What are your thoughts about that and how we can navigate that and be able to still prioritize joy in our lives?
21:14
Yeah, I think that social media and everything comes with so it's like a big ball of wax, right? Because like for me, I'm trying to get off of it more, but I want to connect with people.
21:25
And oftentimes online, on Facebook, on Instagram, that's where people are.
21:29
And I'm like, oh, I haven't talked to so-and-so or I need to message this person.
21:34
So I'm still finding myself kind of tied to it.
21:38
But you can often watch it too long, right? And spend hours of your day just accidentally, oh, I've just been scrolling for a while.
21:47
And you look up and the clock has been running.
25:03
So what would you say for my listeners who are busy moms, they are either running a business, running a private practice, or they are working as an employee and they're also running a household, what's one small step for them to start with that they could do today to help invite more joy into their lives.

I'm going to just start off by asking you the first question of just like, what are some practical time management tools women can use to realistically make time for workouts?
5:55
That's a great question.
5:56
I think it's really, there's a lot of pieces to it, but I think you really have to pick something that you love doing first of all, because you're not going to be motivated to do whatever it is you want to do as working out.
6:09
There's so much variety and like go walk with a friend, go do an exercise class, go to the gym and lift weights.
6:15
Like what is it that you love doing? I think is the first piece because it motivates you to do Whatever that movement is that you enjoy, if you don't enjoy it, it's going to be really hard to land it in your week and to actually put it in.
6:31
So I think that's the first piece.
6:34
And then the second piece is just kind of looking at your week.

And instead of like- But okay, can you give us like some of your favorite time management tools, like your habits that will help women with that?
34:52
But those things aren't, like, fun in the moment, I guess.
34:55
Yeah, and they're also, um...
34:57
How do I wanna say? You're kind of like, "Okay, I did this," but sometimes you have so much that you're processing and so much on your mind, and you're not even trying to procrastinate, but you're just kind of stuck with like, which thing should I do? Like you said, suddenly a client canceled and you're like, "I have an extra hour, but I have these 15 tasks," and then you kind of get paralyzed of like, well, should I start on this one? But this one also has these other things.
35:25
Or should I do this one? That one leads to this, or this one I have to talk to somebody about.
35:29
So you're going through all these different tasks in your head trying to figure out which one you're going to do, and then by the time you figure out which one you're gonna do, you've already wasted like 20 minutes.
35:39
So then you're like, "Now I can't complete that whole task." So it's the idea of taking a deep breath and just starting one step of like, okay, I'm just going to write everything down in my head, and then I'm going to batch it, and then I'm going to start on that first task batch that I talked about, whether it's errands or making dinner or figuring out X.
36:03
You know, walk through that instead of feeling like, "I have all these things.
39:19
Yeah, exactly.
