What does it mean to you to be in this museum today?
1:18
Well, first of all, we had that year the bicentennial commemoration as a country.
1:23
So we decided to do lots of different things in different areas of the country.
1:27
But in terms of human rights, we thought that it was needed a place where people could come, look at all the exhibition of all the information, and that it could understand our history.
1:40
Because part of that history was not taught at schools.
1:43
Chile has to have the memory of what has happened because that was the only way to protect democracy and human rights.
1:51
And it has some permanent exhibition and some exhibition like this one that is a new one.

Are there examples of it elsewhere in the world?
11:56
Would you be then in favor of a profound restructuring reform of the United Nations?
12:02
Yes, indeed.
12:03
Indeed.
12:04
What I believe needs to be looked at is if the areas where we're gonna reform, we're gonna reduce, et cetera, are the strategic one because it's, it is not about only saving money.
12:17
It's about ensuring that where you put the resources is where you can have real impact and results, where your mandates will be really achieves what your, your objectives are.
12:28
And then you need to be more strategic.
12:30
It's not like, for example, cutting every department on 10% or 20%.

But I wonder what that experience told you about the United Nations and perhaps about the type of secretary general that you would want to become.
