Thea, how do you survive this opening assault?

Thea glances up at the two moons still just visible through the clouds.

She knows how the world once was, and she knows at least something of how the world is now.

She looks back at that black sun emanating, burning, hurting bones, and grief and pain flying towards her.

And she knows that to be perceived is merely a matter of whether the light hits you.

So when she sees that friend who no longer squirms through mud and rainfall, but stands still as an oak with such confidence, she steps behind him and into an eclipse.

Uh, Theya, how do you struggle in vain? What does it look like?

Theya feels that change in Fenwyn, and understands the symphony has entered a second movement.
