My name is Michaela Erickson.

I'm the National Water Trail Coordinator here in Duluth, Minnesota, working for the St. Louis River Alliance, which is a member-based nonprofit focused on connecting, restoring, and enhancing the St. Louis River.

Yeah, so my connection to this waterway, I do live here in the Duluth Superior region, so the Twin Ports.

But I moved up here for school 11 years ago, and I've always felt best and happiest around nature.

So it did help.

I got a job which protects and restores the river.
