Tell me the backstory of how you happened to take the helm of this particular scary movie.

The Wayans and I go back a couple of decades.

I was lucky enough to start my career working for the Wayans as an assistant and was able to be... behind the scenes with these guys when they were doing White Chicks and Little Man and really see how they made the magic happen.

And this movie was a fantastic kind of full circle for both of us because the Waynes had lost this franchise a number of years ago after two and now rightfully gotten it back.

So for that, I was extremely happy because Scary Movie was back with the original guys who created the franchise where it belongs.

And when they called me and told me that they felt and trusted me as the only guy they could see taking over the helm of their biggest franchise, I was speechless and excited.

It was a horror thriller short film, and I got introduced to other comedy actors and people who were working on their movies, and I actually teamed up with this guy, Atheon Crockett, who's absolutely hilarious, very talented actor, comedian.
