[laughs]

And then Alexa would be like, "You can get skincare products." And I was like, "No, human skin." And I was just dancing to Goodbye Horses.

And it was just, I don't know.

And I saw one day that Jay Duplass followed me, and I was like, "This is the coolest thing." Like, I have given the book, Like Brothers, to like so many friends to be like, "This is how I make a movie.

Like, this is it.

Like, let's do it.

Like, you know, let's just get a crew together and do it." And, but I still was like, but no one would wanna do it.

[laughs]

And it- it all started from based on a true story.

Yeah, I mean, you know, that opening scene in the movie is a failed suicide attempt.

And, uh, and that is how I got sober, you know? And, uh, I told Jay over lunch, you know, "The only reason why I'm still here is because I was, uh, the belt broke, and I was holding a bit of holiday weight." And, and he, and he smiled, and I was like, "You can laugh.

It's okay, you know? I'm- I'm here." And, um, little did I know, he was planning to, like, kinda start a little origin story on my life.

And, uh, you know, it's, I'm so happy I'm here 'cause I almost missed it.

(laughs)

We literally just met, like, couple of days before we started.

Jay had lunch with her and, um, you know, they kinda talked about everything but the movie, uh, about her life and where she was in her life, and, um, y- you know, she kinda felt like, similar to the character of DeeDee, like, you know, when she'd go to parties, nobody would, or no one even invited her to parties anymore, and, um, that she just felt kind of, like, not seen anymore.

[laughs]

Yeah.

I got a lot of keeple- people that keep me humble.

You know? Like, I've got a great core group of friends that, like, you know, just are there for me, and I also, like, I help out a lot of people by offering my time and, uh, sponsorship, you know? And, uh, you know, I, I personally love when I get a phone call from anyone, 'cause it gets me out of my own self and gets me out of, like, why am I not g- going out for that thing.

You know, all the stuff that the industry that I'm in can take up my whole entire day and get me all crazy.

You know, instead, find a way to be of service, you know, and that can be with my partner, with everybody.

But, you know, another cool thing is, like, the movie had, like, all my family in it [laughs].
