You ready?
0:18
You know, 10 years ago, I would have rocked the socks off of this stuff.
0:22
But I'm realizing as you hear in the conversations where I'm, you know, tripping on names and remembering them poorly, so.
1:00
What is Daniel Jackson's profession?
1:03
Well, it depends on who you ask, really.
1:09
Engineer, doctor, archeologist, pilot.
1:11
Well, he's an archeologist, but he's also an anthropologist.
1:14
He's also a, you know.
6:53
I don't- Was it obvious to you at this point that I resemble this guy, I can make this work?
6:58
Well, I never thought that I resembled him per se, you never know.
7:01
Okay.
7:02
But I did know that I could, I could do enough of a take on him that it wouldn't feel out of place.
7:11
But then it might be, if they're going for this, if this is what they want, then it's just a matter of, do I look... and sound more like him if this is what they want.
7:23
But I went into the audition blind.
7:24
I just said, well, I mean, you know, if you're looking for a character, there he is.

7 MINS LATER

14:02
As a Canadian-American joint production, didn't 50% of the cast have to be Commonwealth?
19:59
Okay, and did you play for free?
20:02
Yes, play for free, but I pick three people or four people to play.
20:11
A guitar player, bass, horn, and drummer.

8 MINS LATER

Doug Llewelyn
Doug LlewelynCORRESPONDENT
27:55
So why do you want him never to come around the band ever again? Is he a good
27:59
player? He's not a member of a band.
28:02
He's not a member of a band.
28:03
You know, he just cares if I, you know, he just wants to try to get my VA check, you know, and try to take my money.
28:11
Is he a good player? No, no, he's not good.
13:41
I thought it went very smooth, actually.
13:43
The person who had the hardest job in that environment is, is Ben.
13:46
And, and we're, you know, we're, we're open enough people personally, and, and I think the characters are, are open enough, uh, professionally that, that we're, we're able to take a step back and sort of go, "Oh, we, you know, come into the group.
13:56
Don't be afraid." And, and then, but, you know, there's always a, there's always a secondary thought of like, but you gotta prove yourself.
14:02
You know, you got, don't, don't expect anything handed to you on a silver platter.
14:04
And, and Ben took that, uh, took that task to heart, and he was, he came with that attitude of, like, no sense of entitlement or expectation.
14:11
He just came in to work hard and do his job and do his best to fit in.
16:10
[laughs]
4:41
How did you find out your movie had been changed? Like, where, where, where did this come from? Where were you hearing from at first?
4:47
Um, it was bizarre.
4:48
Uh, we were very excited that it was gonna be playing in China.
4:51
It was the first body horror film to be theatrically released in China.
4:54
And then, uh, after the sort of, uh, there were a couple of advanced screenings, and I started to get in dribs and drabs little DMs on, uh, my social media from Chinese journalists that had been to those screenings and said, "Hey, are you aware of this?" And they'd sort of bootlegged a couple of, uh, photos of the film from the scene in question that had been altered via AI.
5:10
And it sort of hit my feed before it, uh, hit, uh, the distributors, and the first thing I did was contact the producers and say like [laughs], "D- Does anybody know about this? Did anybody sign off on this?" And it was a resounding no.
5:19
Everybody was sort of as shocked, uh, and taken aback as I was.
6:28
So was there anything else that was changed in the movie, or was it just this one scene?
