When did it first occur to you to use technology to help address this emergency of languages going extinct, indigenous languages going extinct?

So the cell phone became a huge threat for language reclamation.

So kids weren't interested in going to class.

They'd be sitting there on their phones, not listening to the elders teaching and stuff like that.

And there became this disconnect.

And so what if you could put on a headset and just talk to your elders or talk to avatars and AI and be able to just, because the burden of not knowing your own language is a huge psychological obstacle because if you say words wrong, you might say the wrong thing and insult someone.

And so Native American language is a very complex compared to English.
