I'd like to introduce Father Michael Racine for the opening prayer.

Heavenly Father, as we gather this evening in gratitude in the presence of our Fall River Fire Department, our Chief Bacon, Mayor Coogan, Governor Haley, and in the presence of our award recipients and their families.

As we honor the dedication and the courage and selfishness of our firefighters in recognition of their work of the Gabriel House Fire 15 months ago.

Thank you for calling these men and women to a life of service.

and for placing within them the heart to stand the gap when danger calls.

Lord, bless each and every one of our department members who are recognized this evening.

Grant them continued courage when they face danger, wisdom when split-second decisions must be made, strength when their bodies are weary, and compassion for every souls that they encounter as they did so professionally that very difficult night and every time the tone is sounded.

Father Michael Racine to come up for the closing prayer.
