You know, the county being one of the first adopters of Vision Zero at a county level, you know, you have a very robust plan to address roadway fatalities and injuries and You could speak more to see about the successes that, I'm sure there are many, but maybe a couple that really relate to, let's say, pedestrians, like you just said earlier, what has really been successful in these past five years.

There's an irony in the question, because, you know, when someone asks me to talk about the success of Vision Zero, I'm thinking about the 20 some odd people that were 20 some odd pedestrians that were killed on the network last year.

And I think we have experienced five deaths, five or six deaths so far this year.

And so when you say, hey, is the program been successful? You know, As a parent, I make the face when I go, I don't even know how to tackle that.

But I will say this, you know, as a traffic engineering safety practitioner, we hold in high regards the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, the Maryland Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, the MDMUTCD.

And as we have used that document historically, particularly historically, where it pertains to traffic signalization or the installation of beacons, we look at these warrants and we say, hey, if this location doesn't meet volume warrants, vehicle volume warrants or pedestrian volume warrants, we're not going to install the device.
